The appointee will be the Chief Financial Officer, principal advisor on finance and will be responsible for developing & implementing effective financial strategies.The RoleThe Director of Finance will be a member of the senior management team. S/He will provide strategic leadership and overall management and direction to the finance function and will play a key role in the development and implementation of the strategic plans.Role and ResponsibilitiesFormulate and implement financial and budgetary strategies, policies and plans which underpin and optimise our clients financial stability and sustainability.Be responsible for the preparation of recurrent budgets, financial accounts, financial statements and reports in accordance with statutory, accounting and corporate governance requirements and best professional practices and standards.Ensure that it meets its statutory obligations and objectives in the key areas of financial management, accounting and audit.Lead in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of comprehensive, integrated financial planning and forecasting, ensuring maximum utilisation of the resources.Provide strategic leadership for the finance function so as to ensure its functions are carried out to the highest professional standards.Develop, implement and manage effective resource allocation and financial information systems and reporting systems which support financial management and decision making at all levels. Provide strategic and operational leadership and direction in the development and continual improvement of the financial systems, processes and services.Ensure all relevant accounting standards are met and maintain the highest standards of probity and professional practice.Ensure that the Finance Division delivers an effective, efficient and value-for-money service which is customer-oriented and responsive.Provide effective high-quality advice to internal and external stakeholders and represent the University on a variety of platforms as required.Have overall responsibility for the procurement and purchasing functions.Liaise with auditors and other professional advisors.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be finance professional with extensive experience (at least five years) at senior management level in a large and complex organisation and will have a proven track record of financial planning and management, including the management of large budgets. Your Profile



Do you have experience in digital planning and buying, working across different digital channels and looking to join an agency that will allow you the autonomy to really grow and progress to the next level? You will have the ability to get the best out of your relationships with clients and media owners and have a good understanding of not only online channels but also the principles of offline channels and how they can complement each other.



The Role



As a digital planner/buyer you will be responsible for aiding the day-to-day account management of your clients as well as helping them develop their digital strategies across all existing and new digital formats. You will be responsible for planning and buying across all digital channels against both brand and response objectives as well as day-to-day negotiation of campaigns, developing media owner relationships and the ensuring plans are implemented in line with the media strategy. In addition, you will be involved with integrating the input of search and affiliate teams, ensuring display media is delivered in line with agreements, meeting client objectives, client servicing and financial management. A varied role that will see you progress towards account manager.
